UAE Sends Medical and Food Supplies to Pakistan

On April 28, the United Arab Emirates sent medical and food assistance which contains over 14 metric tons to the country of Pakistan. The supplies have been sent with the aim to support Pakistan’s efforts in fighting the coronavirus.

Over 7000 medical professional will benefit from the medical and food supplies.

This delivery has coincided with the spirit of giving this holy month of Ramadan.

UAE Provides Food and Medical Supplies to Pakistan

UAE Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, has shared his comments on the delivery of supplies.

“As part of the bilateral cooperation that has underpinned the brotherly relations between our two countries for decades, the UAE is proud to extend assistance to Pakistan in furtherance of global solidarity in the fight against COVID-19.” Al Zaabi said.

“Through this aid, we honor the frontline healthcare workers in Pakistan and around the world who are working tirelessly to put an end to this crisis,” he added.

The UAE has previously delivered its first batch of critical medical assistance to Pakistan last April 2.

The second batch of medical supplies was sent on April 5 to Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.

This is not the first time that UAE has been sharing its generosity to other countries.

The UAE has been forefront in sending assistance to many countries abroad, each country combating the spread of the pandemic. Over 320 metric tons have been provided in over 30 countries globally and supporting over 320,000 medical professionals in the process.
