AED 730 cash assistance application reopened for displaced OFWs in Dubai

In an advisory shared by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Dubai and Northern Emirates (POLO-Dubai), the application for the DOLE-AKAP program has been reopened.

DOLE-AKAP is a financial aid for overseas Filipino workers that have been displaced by the virus. However, it was suspended last May 11, 2020 due to reason of “subject to availability of funds”. It turned out that the set budget by the Philippines Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) was not enough to cover the number of applications from OFWs around the globe.
