The flight destinations of these return flights currently include Frankfurt and London Heathrow. The destinations will frequently be updated from their webite.

Emirates Limited Passenger Flights for Expats Abroad to Return to UAE

Most of the flights that have been operating in the UAE are outbound repatriation flights, so this recent update by the airlines is much welcomed as this gives an opportunity to those who are outside the UAE to come home.

The UAE has strict policies in terms of accepting returning residents. You should have a valid residence visa and you should have an ICA approval number.

You can get the ICA approval number by signing up for the UAE Twajudi Resident service and visiting MoFAIC.gov.ae. Go to this link – https://www.mofaic.gov.ae/en/Services/Twajudi-Resident

After getting an approved ICA number, visit the emirates.com website to book a flight. These flights are still subject to change given the frequent changes in rules of each border. So make sure you are always updated about your flight and the countries of departure and arrival.

Arriving residents will need to be required to have a DHA test upon arrival; a mandatory 14 day quarantine and a follow up test before release.
