On April 29, the United Arab Emirates sent medical assistance which contains over 7 metric tons to the country of Philippines. The supplies have been sent with the aim to support the Philippine’s efforts in fighting the coronavirus.

Over 7000 medical professionals and health workers will benefit from the medical supplies.
This delivery has coincided with the spirit of giving this holy month of Ramadan.
UAE Provides Medical Supplies to Philippines
UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, Hamad Saeed Hamad Obaid Alzaabi, has shared his comments on the delivery of supplies.
“Through the provision of critical medical aid, the UAE affirms its commitment to offering a helping hand to the Philippines. Our two countries share a deep partnership between our governments and peoples, and it is our sincere hope that such assistance enables the Philippines to take the necessary action to defend itself against COVID-19.”
“The UAE stands in solidarity with all nations working to contain and confront the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
This is not the first time that UAE has been sharing its generosity to other countries.
The UAE has been forefront in sending assistance to many countries abroad, each country combating the spread of the pandemic. To date, the UAE has provided more than 334 metric tons of aid to over 32 countries, supporting nearly 334,000 medical professionals in the process.
